Woody's are proud to support Team Kent and all our students who compete competitively or play just for fun! We are the home bar for sports teams on campus and regularly host socials, as well as our weekly Woody's Wednesday, the only place to chill after BUCS!

Supporting student athletes who dedicate their extracurricular time to sport is not only core to what Woody's and Kent Union do, but also brings amazing benefits to the student community. Our sports groups allow students to develop athletic talent, foster team work and boost their resumes, as well as have great fun and make friends! Canterbury Varsity is an annual week-long sporting competition which sees teams from the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University compete to take home the title of ultimate champion. The event showcases the incredible talents and fierce rivalries of both universities and brings together passionate atheletes, dedicated supporters and a vibrant community. More than just a competition, Canterbury Varsity is a celebraton of camaraderies, sportspersonship and the unifying power of sport.
